2010 New York Islanders preseason schedule

The New York Islanders announced their upcoming 2010 preseason schedule. They are the home team for the October 2nd game in Québec City.

From the team's official news release:

The New York Islanders announced today the release of their 2010 pre-season schedule. The Islanders will play 5 games in 5 locations, including games in Saskatoon and Québec City and the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

On Wednesday, September 29th, the Islanders will open the pre-season with a pair of split squad games. The first matchup will take place at the Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon when they face off against the Calgary Flames. The Islanders second split squad game will take place at the Wachovia Center against the defending Eastern Conference champion Philadelphia Flyers that same night. Both games are scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM local times.

The Islanders' third game of the preseason is set for 7:00 PM on Friday, October 1st as they'll travel to the Prudential Center to take on the New Jersey Devils.

The following night, Saturday, October 2nd, the Islanders will close out their pre-season with another pair of split squad games. One Islander team will complete the back end of a home-and-home series with New Jersey, Saturday night at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, while a second squad will take on the Montréal Canadiens at the Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec City. Face off for both games is set at 7:00 PM.
