2010 Chicago Blackhawks preseason schedule

The Chicago Blackhawks announced their 2010 preseason schedule. They are the away team for the preseason opener.

The 2010 Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks announced today the team's 2010 preseason schedule, which consists of seven games against National Hockey League opponents including one contest in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The Blackhawks will open their preseason slate with a matchup against the Tampa Bay Lightning at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg on Wednesday, September 22nd at 7:00 PM. Chicago then battles their Central Division rival, the Detroit Red Wings on Friday, September 24th at Joe Louis Arena, before hosting Detroit for the 2010 preseason opener at the United Center on Saturday, September 25th. The Blackhawks travel to Pittsburgh to face off against the Penguins at the brand-new CONSOL Energy Center on Tuesday, September 28th, and the St. Louis Blues at Scottrade Center on Thursday, September 30th. Chicago rounds out the preseason schedule by hosting Pittsburgh on Friday, October 1st, and St. Louis on Sunday, October 3rd at the United Center.

The 2009-10 Blackhawks defeated the Philadelphia Flyers to secure the fourth Stanley Cup championship in franchise history and first since 1961. The club established franchise records during the regular-season for points (112), wins (52), and road wins (23) en route to the organization's first division title in 17 years.

September 24 - at Detroit, 7:00 PM
September 25 - vs. Detroit, 8:00 PM
September 28 - at Pittsburgh, 7:00 PM
September 30 - at St. Louis, 8:00 PM
October 1 - vs. Pittsburgh, 8:30 PM
October 3 - vs. St. Louis, 6:00 PM
