2011 Edmonton Oilers preseason schedule

The Edmonton Oilers announced their 2011 preseason schedule. They are the away team for their September 20th split squad game in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

From the team's official news release:

The Edmonton Oilers will begin their 33rd season in the NHL with a eight-game pre-season schedule, including four games at Rexall Place and four on the road.

On September 20th, the Oilers open the 2011 pre-season with a split squad game versus the Minnesota Wild at Rexall Place and a road game in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan against the Chicago Blackhawks. The Oilers will also entertain the Vancouver Canucks on September 22nd and the Calgary Flames on September 24th in the first of a home-and-home with their provincial rivals.

The Phoenix Coyotes visit Rexall Place on September 27th before the Oilers round out the pre-season with games in Minnesota (September 30th) and Vancouver (October 1st).

The Oilers' 2011 preseason schedule is as follows:

September 20* - vs. Chicago (in Saskatoon), 8; vs. Minnesota, 9
September 22 - vs. Vancouver, 9:00 PM
September 24 - vs. Calgary, 8:00 PM
September 25 - at Calgary, 8:00 PM
September 27 - vs. Phoenix, 9:00 PM
September 30 - at Minnesota, 8:00 PM
October 1 - at Vancouver, 10:00 PM
