The Pittsburgh Penguins announced their 2011 preseason schedule.

The Pittsburgh Penguins will open their 2011 pre-season schedule Wednesday, September 21st against the Detroit Red Wings at CONSOL Energy Center. Game time is 7:00 PM.
It will be the first of three straight pre-season home games – also including Thursday, September 22nd against Chicago (7:00 PM) and Saturday, September 24th against Minnesota (3:00 PM).
The September 21st and 22nd games will be part of season ticket packages, with individual game tickets also going on sale to the general public.
The September 24th game vs. Minnesota will be the Penguins' second annual free game for kids. Details will be provided at a later date.
The Penguins also play pre-season road games at Chicago and Detroit, and a neutral site game against the Los Angeles Kings at Kansas City.
The Penguins' 2011 preseason schedule is as follows:

September 21 - vs. Detroit, 7:00 PM
September 22 - vs. Chicago, 7:00 PM
September 25 - vs. Minnesota, 3:00 PM
September 27 - vs. Los Angeles (in Kansas City), 8:00 PM
September 30 - at Chicago, 8:30 PM
October 2 - at Detroit, 4:00 PM
