The New York Islanders announced their upcoming 2011 preseason schedule. They are the home team for the October 1st game.

The New York Islanders announced today the release of their 2011 preseason schedule. The Islanders will play five exhibition games in five cities across North America, including one game at Webster Bank Arena, the home of the Islanders' American Hockey League affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
The Islanders will open their 2011 preseason on Friday, September 23rd at TD Garden against the Boston Bruins at 7:00 PM. The following night, Saturday, September 24th; the Islanders will host their Atlantic Division rivals, the New Jersey Devils at 7:00 PM at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
The third game of the preseason is set for Tuesday, September 27th when the Islanders travel to the Scotiabank Saddledome to take on the Calgary Flames at 9:00 PM. The Islanders will then travel to the Prudential Center on Friday, September 30th for a 7:00 PM faceoff against New Jersey. The team's final preseason game is on Saturday, October 1st at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut at 7:00 PM against Boston.
