The St. Louis Blues announced their 2015 preseason schedule.
From the team's official news release:
The club will begin their exhibition slate with a split-squad game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday, September 22nd.
Overall, the Blues will play three home and three road dates, including a home-away series with the Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars and Chicago Blackhawks.
Following the split-squad opener, the club will host Dallas on Thursday, September 24th before traveling to Chicago on Saturday, September 26th. The following week, the Blues will travel to Dallas on Tuesday, September 29th before rounding out their preseason schedule by hosting Chicago on Thursday, October 1st at Scottrade Center.

2015 Pittsburgh Penguins preseason schedule
The Pittsburgh Penguins announced their 2015 preseason schedule.
They are the home team for the Kraft Hockeyville USA game on September 29th in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay will square off in the inaugural Kraft Hockeyville USA matchup at War Memorial Arena in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, September 29th. That game will be nationally broadcast on NBC Sports Network with a starting time still to be determined.
The Penguins held all or parts of three training camps in Johnstown between 1981-1983. Pittsburgh moved its training camp back to Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania in 1984 to coincide with Mario Lemieux's first NHL season.
They will play a total of 8 preseason games, most in 10 years. One road game worth noting is on September 28th.
It will be the first game at the Vidéotron Centre in Québec City.

But the Montréal Canadiens will host the Pittsburgh Penguins in their sixth visit since 2009, with the game on September 28th. Scheduled puck drop is at 7:00 PM Eastern Time.
That is really not the big story. So, what is it then?

But in the meantime, the QMJHL's Quebec Remparts will be the arena's primary tenant as they have at Colisée Pepsi since 1999. They will christen the 18,482-seat arena on September 12th against the Rimouski Océanic.

2012 NHL trade deadline day is here
The day is finally here. This is an fantasy hockey player's wet dream. It's the NHL trade deadline, 2012 style.
Today is the day hockey fans around the world watch closely to see if their favorite team makes a trade... or two... or three (okay, not necessarily that many, but you get my point)... where they are either looking to bolster their roster to make a serious run at a Stanley Cup title or simply to execute a fire sale in building for the future.
This is when NHL owners and general managers pull their hair out and have a couple of coffee pots on standby. The weight of their teams falls on their shoulders to do what is best for their employer. This is the proving ground where their salaries are deserving or not when they were hired.
By today's 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, how many trades will be made? No one knows for sure, but there will be some made by then. What will be funny is that if there are so few to make this day not worth getting up in the morning and follow TSN, CBC, Rogers Sportsnet, The Score or even the NHL Network and the league office running NHL.com's trade deadline page, all those employees reporting to work extra early will be just a little bit aggravated. ESPN has a trade deadline tracker you can follow. Not to say FOX Sports won't be paying any attention, but if you don't need the extensive marathon coverage those Canadian networks provide, you always have that American source to check out anytime. SB Nation (which partnered up with Yahoo!) also has their trade deadline page with team bloggers keeping us updated.
